Michael J's Body Shop

Had the good fortune to never need a body shop in the 10 years I've been in the Bay Area, then it happened.  Being the soft center of an oreo fender bender on the 280.  I was sure I was in for a long and painful process of getting my car drivable again.

Not true!  My State Farm agent told me that Michael J's was one of their few highly recommended body shops.  I had the car towed there and my great experience began.

I expected the usual greasy hand, T-shirted greeting and the usual story that goes along with that.  But from their first word to me, I could tell that this business really knew where to focus their attention, on the customer!

This group of folks EASILY provides better and more helpful service than the much touted Apple Store Guru's.  It ended up, that due to the age of my car, it was totaled, so I can't comment on their work quality but they provided me great insight into what to expect from the insurance company.  Rich gave me a red carpet intro to a VIP free service for a new or used car purchase.  Lastly Rich also hooked me up with a Hertz rental car for what I'd expect to pay for a Thrifty or Enterprise car.

Their service starts with the customer and continues through the repairs.  I HIGHLY recommend them to anyone in need of body shop services or just to see what good customer support is like!

It was Friday and like everyone in the free world I was riding the TGIF wave until my day is rudely interrupted by a reckless Driver. Thank GOD my car was parked and no one was injured, our 2009 cherry red Mazda3's bumper, on the other hand was hit and scratched BAD! My fiance called Oak tree Mazda and they immediately referred us to Michael J's  on Taylor and Coleman. 

I walked into the shop clueless about who they were and the type of work they did. I was greeted by Rich who took the reigns of the situation and helped us navigate the muddy waters of insurance and third parties to get our car back to its original shape with as Lil damage to our pockets as possible considering this wasn't even our fault!! 

Sure enough a few hours later the claim was in and parts were ordered. I left the shop feeling like my car was in good hands. I turned  the car over to MJ's for repair on Tuesday and got it back on Wednesday. Yes that's right it took them all of ONE day to  return our car to us in better than original condition! I drove out of there proud of the look and feel of our car it literally felt like I was driving it off the lot.  

The whole process from crash to makeover was made all the more pleasant by dealing with a staff that was empathetic, experienced, knowledgeable and accommodating. They walked us through every step of the process had no problem explaining their answers to all our questions It's refreshing to see that businesses like this still exist thanks to Jeff, Ray, Rich, Brian, Cindy, and the people who worked on the actual car u all ROcK!!

Pedro and the crew at Michael J's Body Shop took care of my car from start to perfect finish.  They even buffed out some scratches that weren't even part of my claim! 
And to top it all off, my car was detailed inside and out on completion, an unexpected delight! WOW!! I won't take my car anywhere else from here on out. Thanks guys!

This body shop provides the best customer service. They fixed my car in the time they promised and the quality of work was excellent. Everyone was super friendly and was very helpful as well. I hope I never have to use thier service again (don't want another car accident) but I definitely recommend them to anyone who needs body work done on thier vehicle.The Manager was super friendly and very helpful. Love Love Love them.
